The couple first met while collaborating on the 2019 track I Can’t Get Enough with Tainy and J Balvin. They also worked together on Gomez’s 2023 song, Single Soon. However, it wasn’t until December 2023 that the couple confirmed their relationship. At the time, Selena Gomez revealed they began dating in June 2023.
In a May 2023 interview with Time, Selena Gomez revealed that if she hadn’t met Benny Blanco, she was going to adopt.
